A friend of me told me a story about a woman, who had an English friend in 1945. This woman lived in Zandvoort and he lived for a while in her house. He was a member of the Red Rats division and I don’t know what he was doing here in the Netherlands. When he left, he forgot his helmet and on this page you can find some photo’s I took. On the first photo on the left, you can see the helmet, laying on the cover of my pc. It’s a helmet for use in the tropics and that is the strange thing of all. What was it doing in Zandvoort, The Netherlands? If someone has a meaning, please let me know. The other photo, below, is how the helmet looks like from inside.
